ArchOnto - January, 2022

A linked data model for archives composed of five different ontologies - CIDOC CRM (base ontology developed in the museums context), DataObject, N-ary (based in CIDOC recommendation to represent tuples with arity higher than two), Link2DataObject, and ISAD Ontology (created taken into account the ISAD(G) archival standard to maintain the current record description). In addition to these five imported ontologies, ArchOnto has its classes and properties, created as extensions to CIDOC CRM. Names for ArchOnto classes are preceded by ARE (from ARchival Entity), and those for properties are preceded by ARP (from ARchival Property). ArchOnto is being developed in the context of the EPISA Project - Entity and Property Inference for Semantic Archives.
